Between Francesc Macià and Passeig de Gràcia; between the Santa gallery

“What can we do to help each other in the world of design, to unite synergies? The only way to grow is by sharing”, says Isabel Martínez-Cosentino at the breakfast with which yesterday the two days of Disseny en Diagonal began and to which the managers of these establishments went. “We could coordinate a calendar of activities with powerful one-off events”, suggests Jesús Pazos, from Hàbitat, where these days the showcase is occupied by pieces dressed in cross stitch by Raquel Rodrigo. This designer and artist will talk about @Arquicostura in the store this afternoon.

“In less than two kilometers we have a very important concentration of people who are doing many things and we have to make it visible”, says Isabel Roig, director of the Design Week, which is part of Disseny en Diagonal and its program of activities. The Italian family firm Natuzzi is committed to showing its collaboration with several international designers and Kave Home yesterday organized a workshop with its artist Jimmy Millán.

In Cosentino, in addition to the initial meeting, there are two round tables: one on neuroarchitectural design to build healthier homes, and another to address new trends in the housing sector (today at 1:30 p.m.). At Tenuee Design Barcelona the architect Lluís Ferrer will speak this afternoon (5pm) about sustainable architecture and then there will be a session on oak wood.
