The Danish national coach wants better terms: – Some crazy travel

Australia is the latest country that has decided to introduce equal pay for male and female national team.

I am Lars Søndergaard, national coach for the Danish fodboldkvinder, which continues to lag economically after the male colleagues.

– Now there is a country more, and it is nice that it goes in the direction of equal opportunities and equal pay. I don’t know about Australia’s agreement in detail, so that I would not like to talk about equal pay, says Søndergaard.

He would, however, like to tell you how you could still wish for better conditions at the women.

– On the landsholdsplan slider we are right in the moment with some things, where we would like to have just the same opportunities to succeed as men, says Søndergaard.

Here, he thinks on the staff around the team, which could be greater.

– It will be specialized more and more on the klubplan within herreverdenen. There are analysts, physical therapists, a physical coach, a goalkeeping coach, and there are some places two the.

– are we still not on the female lines. I could well imagine that we increased the number of specialists around the team, says Søndergaard.

Søndergaard has an assistant coach who is halvtidsansat.

– It does, of course, that we sometimes need to discuss holdtaktiske things at 22 in the evening. Because she can’t before. If we had a coach full-time, it will give more quality, he points out.

the national coach will also have increased the number of players in the squad as well as the number of matches during a calendar year.

– We take 16 outfield players and 2 keepere. I would like to have a squad that is similar to what the other comes up with.

– It should also be equal opportunities for exploiting the international dates fully, says Søndergaard.

Otherwise, it becomes difficult to have big ambitions, he believes.

– I do not use so much time to speculate on whether the men have more than we have. I wonder more what the other countries have, we do not have. It is some of the things I mention.

– Otherwise, it is unrealistic to say that we should be at the top, if we do not have the same opportunities as the other countries, says the national coach.

Travelling can also be improved, he explains.

– We are sometimes out on some crazy journeys. It costs of course a lot to charter an aircraft.

– Since we were going to Israel, we left Launceston at half past eight in the morning and was the first promotion in Israel half twelve in the evening. And we had to go down and play a important game, as the girls, however, did just fine, he says.

currently, the Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU) added to the budget for next year.

– I hope that you will see that we are satisfied. There’s not really been something, because much of the talk has happened in the last year.

– And you can’t just find a million more. So had you done so, assess Søndergaard.
