The actor Antonio de la Torre closes the Sumar list for the Malaga constituency. In this way, the winner of two Goya Awards will occupy this symbolic position in the party formed by Yolanda Díaz. The Andalusian actor already showed his sympathy in the last elections on May 28 for the United Left candidate, Ricardo González, for the mayor’s office of Ochavillo del Río (Córdoba).

De la Torre, who holds the record for being the Spanish actor with the most Goya Award nominations, with a total of 14, has never expressed his political position. Also on the occasion of the last regional and municipal elections, the actor signed a manifesto of support for the candidacy of Podemos-IU for mayor of Malaga.

Antonio de la Torre thus joins a catalog of personalities who occupy symbolic positions in the Sumar lists in these upcoming general elections. Judge José Castro, who was the instructor in the Palma Arena case, also does the same for the candidacy of the Balearic Islands. Remedios Zafra and Roloy Galán are other examples, since they will occupy the last positions on Yolanda Díaz’s party lists for Madrid and Tenerife, respectively.

In the Barcelona list will be the Minister of Universities, Joan Subirats, the president of the current parliamentary group Jaume Asens and the ex-mayor Ada Colau, who occupy the last three positions in Sumar. In Valencia, it will be former mayor Joan Ribó who closes the list.
