The circulation of high-speed trains between Valencia and Madrid has been suspended since this morning due to an incident at the facilities in the San Isidro tunnel. As confirmed by Adif sources to La Vanguardia, this morning there was a fire that affected a pumping well with the consequent accumulation of water and smoke on the roads. For security reasons, the same sources detail, circulation has had to be stopped.

At the moment, no train bound for Madrid or arriving in Valencia from the capital has been able to leave this morning. So far, there are seven convoys affected, one of them was on the Valencia-Seville route and the rest covered the route to the capital. The problem is that Adif still cannot give a forecast of when normality will be restored, so the delays of the trains, which cannot enter and leave the Joaquín Sorolla de València station, will accumulate throughout the morning.

And all this, in the middle of an election day where everyone who wants to cast their vote must do so before eight at their polling station.
