En Ekstra Bladet met Ulrikke Falch for a talk during this year’s Zulu Awards 2020 in the K. B. Hall, where she was handing out an award, she put a few words on why:

– Actually because I noticed that it took so much time of my life, and that I was very concerned about what people would hear and not so much what I like even would say, and so it felt right to take a break and remove themselves from it and take the time to build a life without all the confirmation that is included with the social media, she said to Ekstra Bladet.

According to Ulrikke Falch, who has previously told openly about the fact that she has struggled with an eating disorder and anxiety, was the hysteria around the ‘likes’ on the social media eventually too much for her.

– I think everyone can put themselves into, that if you don’t get enough likes, then it is crap. You get direct feedback on his own work, which is to promote himself, for that is what social media is, she said, and continued:

– So I have understood, that it was too hard for me, and that I have been able to manage it.

– You have been an inspiration for many in relation to kropspositivisme and other important topics. Don’t you think that your followers will miss you?

– I think that there are extremely many profiles and accounts, which makes it the same, as one can find comfort in. There are many communities – especially with kropspositivisme. I can see that there are many who feel like a part of it, and it exists as a movement. So I have decided that it is a limit I have set for myself, and so I think that those who have cared to follow me, like me well, and that they find the other profiles.
