on Wednesday trained HB Køge squad for the first time in 2020, but lacked a face of the inflatable hall in Køge.

Defender Matthew Briggs was nowhere to see, and the absence was not that he had been given the green light by his employer to keep a longer christmas vacation. Briggs was absent, because he would have more time with the family at home in England, writes sn.dk.

It can of course not see through the fingers with HB Køge, and therefore waiting for the defender in a written warning, when he lands in Denmark.

– We have been in dialogue with him all the way, and we have said no to more holidays, so all come running and will have additional days off. It does not go. Now are Matthew looked away, and it is, of course, we are not satisfied with, says sports director Per Rud to the sn.dk.

the 28-year-old Matthew Briggs has both roots in England and Guyana, and he is listed for 10 matches for the latter, while he has played in a sea of English U-internationals – including two for the U21-national team. It has also been to 13 Premier League matches for Fulham FC.

HB Køge extended back, in september the contract with Matthew Briggs until the end of 2020.
