Rafa Castaño makes history at the 'Pasapalabra'

Clarified the great television mystery of the week. In the end it was Rafa Castaño who got away with it, completing the roscó of Pasapalabra and leaving his rival for so many months, Orestes Barbero, with honey in his mouth. The contestant from Seville won the millionaire pot of the contest which reached the figure of 2,272,000 euros, the largest in the history of the popular contest which surpassed the previous record, 2,190,000 euros, obtained by Eduardo Benito in 2006 .

Rafa and Orestes had been fighting since June 1 and yesterday their duel came to an end with the victory of the former, who managed to complete the round in the most unexpected way possible: immediately and without giving the opponent a chance to try. The last word that completed the thread was the one corresponding to the z: “Beetle that attacks the leaves, especially when the grains are tender.” The answer in Spanish: Zabro. A simple word that opened the door to a millionaire pot with which Rafa simply hopes to “live with peace of mind”.

He returned in 2017 and later in 2019. Three different stages in which he matched with many opponents, including Orestes, with whom he already competed to get the pot of rosco, but could not make it happen after Telecinco stop issuing the contest due to a judicial resolution. With the return of the space to Antena 3, the rivalry between Rafa and Orestes revived and yesterday it ended with the completion of the first one.
