A month before the end of the radio season, which will be extended a little due to the celebration of the general elections on July 23, the radio stations have known the notes. And RAC1 has closed the season as the undisputed leader for the fourteenth consecutive time, with 894,000 daily listeners according to the EGM that was announced yesterday. A considerable number if we compare it with the second station, Catalunya Ràdio, and the third, Ser.
The Godó Group station has a share of 41.1%, more than double that of Catalunya Ràdio (which has 19.4% and 614,000 listeners) and triple Ser (13.2% and 374,000 listeners). RAC1 is the most listened to radio 19 hours a day, from five in the morning until midnight without interruption. From the general data, it stands out that of the ten most listened to programs in Catalonia, six are from RAC1.
The world on RAC1, with Jordi Basté, has 711,000 daily listeners. It also has the radio hour with the highest audience, from eight to nine in the morning, with 415,000 listeners, which is also the second best figure in history. Compared to a year ago, El món a RAC1 has increased its audience by 8%, and this makes its director and presenter defend that “we have to celebrate it, because it costs a lot. We have been leaders for 14 years and that has a lot of merit. We have to get excited every time an EGM like this comes out and tells us that we are the most listened to station in Catalonia. And this is part of the history of radio”. Jordi Basté’s program has, once again, more audience than all of Catalunya Ràdio.
The competition with the Oscars, Andreu and Dalmau, has 194,000 listeners; 34% more than a year ago. And You First, with Marc Giró, 115,000, 28% more. The RAC1 Version, with Toni Clapés, is heard by 287,000 listeners; 26% more than a year ago. Figures that bring a smile to Clapés’ face, especially when he remembers that “as a child, I suspended everything in the summer and went to remedial classes. And now we don’t have to go there. We will spend a quiet summer and we thank the listeners who have been by our side”.
Iceland, with Albert Om, has 124,000 listeners every afternoon at seven. No ho sé, with Anna Vallhonesta, has 109,000 listeners and increases the audience by 56%; Tu diràs, with Aleix Parisé, 114,000, 28% more; and RAC1 midday, with Núria Travesa and Xavi Rocamora, 87,000, 61% more.
At the weekend, Via lire, with Xavi Bundó, is the undisputed leader both on Saturday, with 558,000 listeners, and on Sunday, with 452,000. Bundó acknowledges that it is “a great joy to lead the weekend and extend distances with the competitors. And it is also great news for RAC1, with this formula of being there when you need to be there with the information and connecting very well with the entertainment needs of the audience”.
Superesports, with Xavi Puig, has 179,000 and 225,000 listeners respectively, and Tu diràs, 68,000 and 73,000. RAC1 midday, with Aurora Rodríguez and Albert Ferran, has 99,000 listeners on Saturday and 70,000 on Sunday. El Viatja bé, with Esther Muñoz, sets the record for the program with 97,000 listeners. In the morning, La primera pedra, with Noemí Polls, has 10,000 on Saturday and 16,000 on Sunday.
RAC105, the music station of the Godó Group, has the best figure of the last five years, with 191,000 listeners. And the Matina, Codina! , with Ernest Codina, closes the second season with an absolute record in its history: 127,000 listeners.
