WASHINGTON — The House committee investigating Jan. 6, which will hold its first public hearing Thursday, will host a British documentary filmmaker who followed Proud Boys during the Capitol riot.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Nick Quested, the owner of Goldcrest Films will testify during the panel’s primetime hearing. When the first of at most a dozen hearings begin this week, the House committee promises to unveil stunning new details regarding the attack.

Quested’s appearance was first reported by The New York Times.

The Jan. 6 committee did no immediate respond to a request to comment.

Quested captured footage of Enrique Tarrio, of the Proud Boys Stewart Rhodes and the Oath Keepers. Two leaders of far-right militia groups met in a garage located just blocks from Capitol.

Many of Quested’s Jan. 6 footage has not been seen publicly.
