Yesterday, Prime Video confirmed a news much awaited by the followers of Operación Triunfo: Amazon’s audiovisual platform will host its twelfth edition, which can be seen in Spain and in more than 30 countries and territories in Latin America at the end of this year. Thus, the vocal talent contest that began in 2001 on RTVE will become the first live weekly content after premiering on this platform in Spain.

In an event to present new Spanish productions, the platform revealed that this new edition will return with the production company Gestmusic, which launched the format, and will continue to include live weekly galas, as well as a 24-hour broadcast through YouTube and Prime Video .

“Fans of Operación Triunfo have enjoyed this format, which has filled the hearts of millions of viewers with joy, for more than 22 years. The last edition of the program that was broadcast on TVE was in 2020, on the same channel that saw it born on October 22, 2001 and where six different generations of artists came to pass, such as David Bisbal, Chenoa, David Bustamante, Manu Tenorio, Manuel Carrasco or Vega.
