Pilar Rubio (Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, 1978), a face that has been with us since the dawn of La Sexta, has learned over the years to swim between two waters. Since she just launched her fourth swimwear collection with Selmark, the saying hits home. She rose to fame as a reporter for the long-awaited Sé lo que hicisteis, giving the reply to Ángel Martín and Patricia Conde, and time took her to the other side of the microphone, particularly after the relationship culminated in marriage with footballer Sergio Ramos. In this sense, he knows how to face questions about his private life without dodging them with subterfuges.

The presenter, today a judge on the program El desafío, proudly poses with the tropical Mare 23 collection, inspired by the Brazilian jungle: “When they contacted me, also to get me involved in the design, a of my dreams: I’ve been behind a counter selling small children’s clothes almost since I was born because my family owned a store, my mother is a seamstress, and I’ve known about it since I was a child. I’m not a professional but I’ve always been interested. Each new collection is almost like having a child”, explains the presenter.

Pilar has had four children with Sergio Ramos and, at 45 years old, her silhouette remains practically as always. These are the three pillars of your good form. “Be constant in sport, balanced in nutrition and try to sleep as much as possible. More or less like that [laughs]. In any case, constancy, discipline, is the key. I have as my own something that I heard from Arnold Schwarzenegger, every day I go to the gym I am one step closer to achieving what I want”. But even Pilar Rubio must have a complex, an Achilles heel. Maybe two. We encourage her to confess and she is so at peace with herself that she doesn’t hesitate for a moment: “Look, I’ve had a crooked nose since I was born. I don’t have surgery because it scares me. Oh, and the toes – I think they’re really long. The body changes over time and through pregnancies. I take care of myself but everyone has their quirks and when you get rid of one, another one appears. I’ve also become more relaxed over the years: I have more important things to think about than myself all the time, for example, the four children I have at home”.

It is the right moment to talk about your family. Except for the firstborn, all names related to Greco-Roman culture. We invite you to give us an adjective for each of them. “Sergio is sweetness; Marco, genius; Alejandro, spark, and Máximo Adriano, leader. The little one has some airs…!”. The couple does not consider looking for a girl; for now, they’ve decided to leave it at that. All six form a kind of assembly when it comes to deciding something transcendent, as will happen very soon: the sports press takes Sergio Ramos’ exit from Paris Saint-Germain as a certainty and the bets go from the US to Japan via Middle East “I don’t know anything about it, really. I don’t want to think about it. When I know what will happen we will consider all the options. In the end, these are issues that affect us all and we have to come to an agreement, looking after the good of the family in general”, points out the presenter.

In any case, Paris is a stage that is definitively closed: “It has been two very beautiful, very positive years. I felt at home, I visited all the museums, because I love them; it was a blessing to be able to enjoy this destination. On the other hand, I’ve been traveling a lot in Madrid, I didn’t have time to miss him and the transfer wasn’t a trauma. I am learning the language and the people are charming, generous, very kind. I can only tell you good things”.
