New mass arrests in Iran

About 100 leaders of the recent protests in Iran have been arrested by the iranian revolutionary guards in several places in the country.

In the last week, there was a large-scale demonstrations in several places in Iran.

In several cities, people went to the streets to show their opposition to the government’s decision to increase the prices of petrol and rationere a number of goods in the sanktionsramte country.

Protesters have among other things, set fire to banks and petrol stations, vandalised shops and refused to obey instructions from the security forces.

It has led to fierce battles between protesters and security forces.

Amnesty International announced on Tuesday that at least 106 people were killed during the demonstrations.

High-ranking government officials, including the country’s supreme leader, ayatollah Ali Khamanei, has described the demonstrators as ‘villains’ and given security forces the green light to take firm action against the protests.
