The Serra Húnter Plan (PSH) to incorporate highly qualified teaching and research staff into Catalan public universities has opened the first of two annual calls. This call offers a total of 52 places, 49 corresponding to recruitments in the category of tenure-eligible lecturer and three associate professors. These calls to attract talent, which are part of the deployment of the objectives of the knowledge society of the Government Plan of the Generalitat of Catalonia, have as their purpose the incorporation into Catalan public universities of highly qualified teaching and research staff and with merits comparable to those of international standards.
Applicants must hold a doctorate and have an excellent academic record, preferably with international experience. Thus, for aggregate teaching positions, you must have at least three years of postdoctoral experience. The people selected by selection committees made up of academics, national and international, of recognized prestige, will have to carry out teaching tasks as well as cooperate with existing research groups and/or develop new complementary lines of research.
The offers are included in the following fields of study: architecture, biology, earth sciences, political and social sciences, economics, education, engineering, physics, computer science, language and literature, mathematics, psychology and chemistry. The five universities that offer recruitment are the University of Barcelona (UB), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the University of Lleida (UdL) and the University of Girona (UdG).
Those interested in applying for positions as lecturers are still in time, as the deadline for submitting applications ends tomorrow, Thursday, March 30, while for those of aggregate teachers, the deadline will open next April 11 until day 27 of the same month. For more information, you can consult the Serra Húnter Plan website.
In addition, it should be remembered that this is the first of the two annual calls for Plan Serra Húnter that are called every year. The next call for reading teachers will be in the autumn, between September 18 and October 12. It will be followed by that of aggregate teachers, with a date yet to be confirmed.
