The president of the PP of the Valencian Community and president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, demanded this Friday from his people “the maximum mobilization” to go to Madrid on the 24th “to defend our integrity and our Statute of Autonomy.” The PPCV wants a large Valencian presence at the event organized by Genoa to reject a possible amnesty law.
At the dinner at the beginning of the political year, before fifty officials and supporters, the popular leader pointed out that “it is a moral urgency that this change comes to Spain at the hands of Alberto Núñez Feijóo. Faced with the more than difficult investiture and the determination in the defense of Spain, Alberto Núñez de Feijóo goes out of his way to set an example as a statesman and we cannot be less.”
For this reason, the president of the popular Valencians urged his people to attend the call in the capital of Spain: “I want to ask you not to relax and we will live up to the responsibility that corresponds to us. I ask you for the maximum mobilization”.
Mazón made this call during the opening ceremony of the political course, held in Valencia, in which the mayor of Valencia, the Mayor of Alicante and the deputy secretary of Institutional Affairs of the PP, Esteban González Pons, also participated.
The president of the PPCV attacked the socialist Ximo Puig and pointed out that he “would be ashamed to be former president of the Generalitat and say that he speaks Catalan/Valencian. Here we speak Valencian and we are Valencians and Spaniards with great pride and that is how we are going to defend it from the PPCV and the Consell.”
Furthermore, Mazón expressed his chest that “in the first 53 days at the head of the Generalitat we have launched many initiatives and many measures that were totally paralyzed by the previous Consell and that were fundamental to continue guaranteeing the social rights of Valencians.”
Finally, he condemned “the violent death of two women in Orihuela and Castellón” and showed his solidarity with the families and “the firmest condemnation of this scourge that we will never tolerate. On Thursday we saw how each other acts in the face of violence. Some lightning strikes, without contemplation and others bow their heads before the law of yes means yes and close courts of violence against women.
For her part, the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, indicated that the popular people are going to form “a common front to defend Valencians from attacks and blackmail and that they want to leave us irrelevant.” Likewise, Catalá stressed that “separatist minorities will not be allowed to step on the pride of Valencians.”
