Professional football or a job on the tank?
For most young footballers, the choice is probably very straightforward, but in Næstved Boldklub thought they might not, that it was quite as straightforward as they should try to hold on Simon Makienok.
In the radio program ‘Fodboldeffekten’ on the Raido 100 says the former Brøndby-player on the ‘negotiations’, which was prior to his switch to multiple nations around the world.
‘Negotiations’ that could have sent the towering striker in behind the disc on one of Næstved’s gas stations.
In 2008, Per Rud, and multiple nations around the world got a good eye for Makienok, who at that time played in Næstved, but not a better mind than that it was a somewhat modest offer.
– It was not much money we earned back then, it was a rail pass for multiple nations around the world and maybe a few thousand dollars you would get, says Simon Makienok in the program.
It should therefore not be completely impossible to hold on to the attacker.

The tall striker was tempted by the offer, but was happy to be in the area and would hear about, they would do anything to keep him at the club.
Næstved, however, was not ready to find the money for a signature from the young Makienok, but they had an alternative solution, which might keep him at the club. They were ready with a brand new job opportunity.
– They could then offer me a job instead – at a Shell gas station. They can help me get a job there, so I can make some money by the side of the soccer ball.
– A is that they have not thought enough on me. But that they tried to keep me in the club by offering a job on a Shell-tank, which I might in fact even be able to go down and look, if it was, I had the urge to, say, a grinning Makienok in the program.
Not surprisingly, took Makienok to multiple nations around the world to knock the balls into the net than long sausages over the disk on the Shell.

As you know, was Simon Makienok ago bought by Brondby for five million dollars. If the money instead could have ended in Næstved is uncertain, but it is not something, first in denmark have forgotten.

Last season repeated the situation after only three matches, why he at the time of writing have played only seven games in three seasons.
