Leaders in a global world

It must be globalization or some other cause, but seeing the information prior to the appearance of Donald Trump before a court in New York, it becomes impossible for me to think how small the world is and how similar some things that happen in USA to things that happened in our house four days ago.

A New York grand jury has indicted the ex-president and aspiring to re-occupy the White House for an accounting crime, confessed by one of the participants in the plot. What he has confessed to is the man who acted as a cover for Trump’s payments to a porn actress, in exchange for his silence about an extramarital affair, an issue that could be considered minor, given the magnitude of the character.

Upon hearing the news, Trump’s reaction was quick. “This is an attack on our country!”, he wrote in capital letters on the social network where he gathers his followers. And, as if the whole world revolved around him and the entire judicial system of the United States had conspired to get a citizen jury to indict him, he finished: “The United States is now a third world nation in serious decline” . In other words, translated into our language: a country without justice or democracy.

Faced with the uproar caused by the news, even his rivals within the Republican Party, those who want to oust him in the primaries to be a candidate for the US presidency again, have had to close ranks. As good populists, the Trump team has taken advantage of the news to turn the accusation into an electoral asset in their favor.

On Monday, Trump, who usually resides in Florida, traveled to New York, as yesterday he had to go to hear the indictment of the grand jury. The trip was broadcast live on their social networks and numerous media outlets. “Witch hunt!” he tweeted again in all caps during the transfer. The media, fans and onlookers were waiting for him in front of Trump Tower when he arrived in Manhattan.

At the time of writing this article, Trump had not yet appeared in court. I have closed it with the desire that, as here, the uproar does not get bigger.
