WASHINGTON — Maryland authorities released Thursday a heavily redacted copy of the 911 call that Nicholas Roske made the previous day to inform them of his plan to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Roske stated to the 911 operator that Roske needed psychiatric assistance shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to court documents, Roske, 26, said that she had suicidal or homicidal thoughts. However, those words were omitted from the audio clip released on Thursday. Roske could be heard saying “I’ve had them for a while.” Roske also stated that he had been hospitalized numerous times.

The operator asked him if he owned a gun, and he said that it was not loaded or locked in his bag. He said that the suitcase contained pepper spray and a knife, as well as other “tools.”

Roske, a Californian, was asked if he had come to Maryland to harm himself and Kavanaugh. Roske said “Correct.” Roske called 911 to say that he wanted to be completely compliant.

Roske gave a description of his physical appearance to operator. He said that he took a taxi from airport and dropped him at Kavanaugh’s house. Roske stated that he was “just around it” during the call. Then he suggested that he had seen images in the media that showed the Supreme Court justice’s home and found it.

Officials stated Wednesday that Roske was carrying a pistol, a knife and pepper spray. Roske was stopped one block away from the house of justice. The officials stated that he claimed he was trying to kill Kavanaugh when he was detained by police.

Roske was seen by Deputy U.S. Marshals, dressed in black with a backpack and a bag and getting out of a cab in front Kavanaugh’s home shortly after 1 AM. According to a criminal case, Roske was seen leaving the cab in front of Kavanaugh’s house at 1 a.m. ET Wednesday. Roske looked at officers, then he began walking down the street. That’s when Roske called 911.

According to investigators, he allegedly told investigators that Kavanaugh was the reason he wanted to attack Kavanaugh. He also expressed anger at the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade. He claimed that he believed Kavanaugh would relax gun laws.

Officials discovered that he had a black tactical chest rig, tactical knife, Glock 17 pistol, two magazines [sic] and ammunition, pepper spray and zip ties, as well as a screwdriver and nail punch, crowbar, pistol light, and other items.
