When the Italian police earlier this week arrested 12 leaders of the most violent Juventus-fans, the so-called Ultras, was written a new chapter in the saga of storklubben from Turin and the Italian mafia.
But how Juventus, with president Andrea Agnelli in the lead, in the past has collaborated with the Ultras, is that this time the club itself, which has led to many arrests.
In a result the police have fangrupperne with connection to the mafia threatened Juventus to shout racist slogans during the matches, if they have not got access to more tickets. Was the threat to fruition, it could have cost the club pointtab.
for years the Ndrangheta-the mafia, which has its origins in Calabria, served converging with the money from selling sortbørsbilletter to Juventus’ matches in the league and in the Champions League.
Juventus have previously handed the tickets to the mafiafolkene, knowing that they would be sold to a fierce overpriced on the black market.

He is out of the famous ’Fiat family’, the closest we get to royalty in the north of Italy. The family has owned Juventus, also called ’The Old Lady’, in more than 100 years.

the Agnellis problem at the time was, that he should have given permission for Juventus tickets sold and season tickets at cost price to groups of Ultras, which scored the box to sell them on to ripping me off.
The quid pro quo was that the Ultra-groups to make sure that there was not the memphis riots broke out in the stands
Agnelli admitted in 2017, that he had met with the Ultra-groups. He would ensure that they did not feel discriminated against, and he would have their word that they would not disturb the public peace.
He also acknowledged that he had met the Ultra-leader, Rocco Dominello in the fan-connections. But Agnelli was in due to his own admission, not aware that Dominello belonged to Ndranghetaen.
This time, Juventus, as mentioned, even turned to the police. It has provisionally resulted in the 12 arrests, but the prosecutor in Turin says that a further 37 people are under investigation. All are believed to be connected to the Ndrangheta-the mafia.
The detainees are accused of being part of a criminal organization as well as extortion, money laundering and violence.
Police have seized a good deal of material, including banners with nazi and fascistsymboler and portraits of Benito Mussolini, Italy’s fascist dictator before and during world war ii.
Among those arrested is the Dino Mocciola, head of the Drughi-fangruppen. He has previously spent a number of years behind bars. In the 90’s he killed a cop during a robbery.
Drughi group described by the prosecutor as a militæragtig organization, which has made violence a way of life.
the Arrests come a year after Juventus asked the police for help. The club due to the pressure of the mafia, and according to the prosecutor, Carlo, Ambra, has the Agnelli and the company cooperated 100 percent with the authorities.
Agnelli has since also someone needs to keep distance to the mafia. He is about to make its mark as one of the big names in international football.
In the last week, he was re-elected as president of the association of european clubs (ECA). He also sits in the UEFA’s executive committee, and he is one of the leading advocates for a revolution of the european club competitions.
He has absolutely no need of once again being linked with the mafia.
