In other words, the danes are often jubeloptimister in relation to sports performance, and the european championship in handball is no exception. The difference between this and many other times is just that danes are not the only one to have Denmark as favourites to win and Mikkel Hansen as the favorite to become the top scorer.
”We always see a relatively high optimism in local markets compared to their own heroes. When Denmark is the defending world champions in handball, we are therefore not surprised that 71 percent of the Danish players have played in Denmark to win the european championship. But that 54 percent of our global users point of Denmark, is still rare,” says press officer Per Marxen from Unibet.
While the second-most danes have France as the favourite, Norway is the third most played bud at home, while on a global level is just the opposite. Funnily enough comes Spain is not on the players ‘ top three either at home or abroad, even though they at the time of writing are second favourites to win, when you look at the Unibet odds. While Denmark, giving odds of 3.15, gives Spain 5.50, France gives 5.00, while both Germany and Sweden, the odds 7.00. Only then comes Norway at odds of 900.
Spillemønsteret at the upcoming european championship’s top scorer is very similar to the pattern on who wins EM. 48 percent of the Danish players have right now played at Mikkel Hansen as EM’s top scorer, while 45 percent of the global users have played at the long-haired dane.
To the contrast, there is disagreement on who is the nearest challenger to him. While 28 percent of the Danish players have the former Aalborg player and current teammate to Mikkel Hansen of PSG, Norwegian Sander Sagosen, who topscorerfavorit, think only 10 percent of the global players on him.
Outside of Denmark think the 22 percent of the players on the Uwe Gensheimer, while only 12 percent of the danes have played on him as top scorer. Find all the many bets on the european championship finals here
