The judge of the National Court Manuel García-Castellón, after reviewing reports from the Civil Guard, maintains that he has found an alleged action by Democratic Tsunami hitherto unknown: a plan to “act” during a visit by King Felipe VI to Catalonia during the summer of 2020. The re-reading he is now doing of some messages from July of that year lead him to infer that the platform had “in mind” an action in the passage of the King’s entourage through Barcelona on the occasion of the delivery of the Princess of Girona awards. However, in 2020 the delivery of those awards was postponed due to the coronavirus.

The conversation to which García-Castellón is now giving prominence was held by the accused businessman Josep Campmajó and another person under the nickname of Xuxu Rondinaire, whom the judge identifies “with great probability” as a police officer. In the exchange of messages that had so far gone unnoticed, the alleged policeman details between July 12 and 13 the “standard” security deployment carried out in the travels of the kings, the use of expressways from airport or the composition of the mobile entourage with the disposition of the vehicles.

“Tell me what you want to do and I’ll tell you if it’s worth it or if it’s a waste of time, like at the Camp Nou”, asks Xuxu Rondinaire in Campmajó. “A couple of hours before, they do the route twice with the whole entourage without the personality”, adds the suspected cop. According to García-Castellón, this conversation “allows us to deduce, not only that Tsunami maintained its intention to perform in July 2020, but something even more serious, that among its objectives could be to perform at the foot of the King’s entourage”.

Felipe VI and Queen Letícia visited the monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet (Conca de Barberà) on July 20, 2020. One week after the conversation reproduced in the Civil Guard report. The instructor of Tsunami – who claims that during the protests for the sentence of the trial crimes of terrorism could have been committed – has ordered the armed institute to enter into more conversations, to identify the said Xuxu Rondinaire – beyond his assumptions – and report on the King’s visits those days.

But in the interlocutory order issued yesterday, García-Castellón does not only ask to expand the investigation into this “new action”. The instructor orders to investigate other actions to try to delve into his thesis on terrorism. Regarding the mobilizations during the day of reflection on the 2019 general elections – a campout in Plaça Universitat de Barcelona and a concert in the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes – he defends that they should be investigated as terrorism starting from the article 573 of the Penal Code – which considers acts aimed at destabilization as such. The Prosecutor’s Office already reported that no complaints or attestations were filed.

The judge listens to the Guardia Urbana, because the report he drew up of those concentrations lacks “graphic and detailed documentation” to know if the concentrations were communicated. In the interview, he states that he feels “surprised” when he reads in a newspaper that a stage was set up. “If this is the general rule in Barcelona, ??you can imagine that anyone can set up a stage on one of the most important roads in the urban core, with the indifference of this police force.” Therefore, he asks the Civil Guard to investigate whether there was communication with the Ministry of the Interior or not.

In the same interlocutory, he takes the opportunity to reiterate other proceedings that he requested two months ago and for which he has not yet received a response, such as those requested by the Medical Emergency Service (EMS) in relation to the death of the French citizen during the blockade of the Prat
