In 2006 brought Michael Laudrup venstrebacken Joseph Elanga to Brøndby IF, but he never became the big hit in the Area. Elanga played just 16 matches for Brøndby, before he was leased to AC Horsens and later shipped on to Malmö FF.
Joseph Elanga, however, has apparently given some really good fodboldgener passed to his son Anthony Elanga. The 17-year-old offensivspiller is associated with none other than Manchester United, and this season he has scored six goals in seven U18 Premier League matches.
In the Manchester United man believes so much on Anthony Elanga, that he has trained with the matchday. Thus he is the race side by side with stars such as Paul Pogba, David De Gea and Marcus Rashford.
It is something that makes daddy proud.
– It is always a good thing to train with the first team. He has had a really nice season, so he should just continue to develop and show off. He needs to feel ready in body, in the head and in the soul. I’m just saying to him that he must be himself and perform his best. Then comes the reward, says the 40-year-old Joseph Elanga to Fotbollskanalen.
The former Brøndby-player, finds that the son is more talented than he was.
– Yes, it is he, says Elanga with a laugh and adds:
– He has been at Manchester United for six years and has developed very much. If you ask all the coaches he has had, they will say that he has adapted to all levels and solved its tasks. He has the same passion as his father for the football, and then we shall see what the future brings. Right now it is about to enjoy it and perform well.
Anthony Elanga got six minutes for Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League draw against FC Midtjylland in the last season. FCM won the showdown 3-1.
