In Seville and accompanied by Juanma Moreno, the leader of the PP has put the president of the Junta as an example of what he wants for Spain, and the demonstration that change is possible, even in Seville. The polls give a technical tie between the PP and the PSOE, with the popular ones on the rise, although the city government, now in Socialist hands, would depend on subsequent pacts.
That is the message now from the president of the PP, “Sánchez has already given up on winning the elections”, “he has already accepted defeat and is content to lose the elections and most of the cities in Spain, as long as he wins a couple of sites”. Sites that are emblematic, and that is where Seville plays that role, which is why Alberto Núñez Feijóo has reserved Seville and Valencia, where he will be tomorrow, for the final stretch of the campaign. Places, stressed the popular leader “where they don’t mind losing the elections, as long as they can govern”, just as they don’t mind losing the elections “if they can say that they have won the government of Seville”.
That is why he asked the Sevillians to “displease Sánchez a great deal” because for him, “Sevilla is a trophy, a medal to hang, to be able to say, we are not that bad off.” And he asked the Andalusians with their votes to “extend to all of Spain the historic change” that they already made a reality in the last elections, by giving an absolute majority to Juanma Moreno, and with this they have shown that “there is another way of doing politics, that you can grow, lower taxes and maintain public services”. Feijóo reminded the Andalusians that everyone thought it was very difficult to achieve an absolute majority, “but who was going to tell Sevilla that they were going to go to the Cup final.”
The president of the PP, because he also wants to win Seville, although in the PP they recognize that it is very difficult and it would mean that the victory of the PP would be incontestable in many other places, but he does not renounce it, and for this he asks for the vote, the first, of the “disappointed of sanchismo”, those who already voted for Juanma Moreno in the Andalusian elections, because, he stressed, “we are at stake a lot”.
The president of the PP recalls that on May 28, town halls and communities are elected in many places, but also “votes are taken to start turning the page on frivolity in politics, turn the page on Sanchismo” and leave aside what is currently Sánchez supposes “division in the government, pointing out the dissenting, arrogance, theater of militants, permanent scandals, permanent crisis of the Government, where some ministers are against others, of the flagrant errors of the lies”.
And to describe those lies, Alberto Núñez Feijóo recalled the children’s song “we are going to tell lies, tralará”, and he did so accompanying each of the “government songs” from the tagline, tratalará. That Sánchez would not agree with Podemos, that he would not make concessions to the independentistas, that he was never going to agree with Bildu, that the law of yes is yes would not have unintended consequences, that he was not going to pardon the Catalan independentistas condemned by the process, that he was going to criminalize the calling of an illegal referendum, that he was going to recover the neutrality of the institutions, that Spain is the country that has grown the most, that it is where electricity has risen the least, that food prices are going down, that the PSOE manages much better than the PP”.
For Feijóo, “when a president needs to deceive, when he needs to rewrite history, it is because he has crossed all the possible frontiers of honesty, and when he blames the PP to justify his pacts with Bildu, it is because he has no limits, it is not fair , it is not true, it is false and it is an unworthy hypocrisy”.
The president of the PP also joked that Sánchez does nothing more than make announcements at his campaign rallies, like today, an investment of 580 million euros in primary care. “The days that there is an announcement is that they have given him surveys that give him bad” and he has to resort to those announcements, because he cannot sell management, and it is that Feijóo, against the balance that Sánchez and his ministers make, maintains that Spain It is the last country that will recover its pre-pandemic GDP; the only one in which per capita income has fallen; the OECD country in which the most purchasing power has been lost, and the most disposable income of families has been lost; a country that doubles unemployment in the European Union and is the second in youth unemployment and female unemployment; the country that increased the tax burden the most; the one that has increased the debt the most, and the country in which mortgages have risen 300 euros per year. The conclusion, “a drowned middle class.” To put an end to all this is what he is asking for the vote, not only from PP voters, but also from Socialist voters.
