Feijóo puts Sémper in charge of one of the three new vice-secretaries of the PP

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will propose this Monday the appointment of three new national executive committee of the party secretaries, among them, Borja Sémper, who will deal with the newly created vice-secretary for Culture and Open Society together with that of Studies, which Carmen Navarro will assume. In addition, Feijóo will appoint Carmen Fúnez as Deputy Secretary for Social Policies and Demographic Challenge.

With the new deputy secretariats, the PP wants to elevate the competences on culture and education to the rank of State policy as a vehicle to promote the values ??of work, effort and responsibility among the youngest. With the election of Sémper, Feijóo also reinforces the weight of the Basque leader, current campaign spokesman for the party, whom he recovered at the beginning of the year to highlight the moderate discourse of the PP.

In the Vice-Secretary for Studies, with education and digital challenge competencies, Navarro assumes new organic competencies in the PP and will coordinate studies in the party ahead of the year-end elections. The leader will reconcile the new organic responsibilities with her recent appointment to the Congress Table.

In the vice-secretariat for Social Policies and Demographic Challenge that Carmen Fúnez will assume – responsible together with Íñigo de la Serna for the electoral program for the next regional and municipal elections –, the PP wants to give relevance to what it considers to be the country’s main challenge in the medium term, given the low birth rate and the high aging of the population. His vacancy in the Electoral Action Secretary will be assumed by David Parry, with extensive experience in the PP Communications department.

With these appointments, one year after the election of Feijóo as president of the party, the PP leader intends to introduce new talents to form a “great team in a momentous year” like this in which Spain will face general, regional elections and local.
