FCKer surprised by the League

In december 2018 downloaded FC Copenhagen Guillermo Varela from Penarol in Uruguay.

The uruguayan højreback has now played in the club in a year’s time, and in an interview with I am TV looking back on the first year.

He tells among other things how he particularly has had a hard time to get used to the Danish climate, but also about the impression, as the level in the 3F League has made on him.

In the beginning it was very difficult for me to get used to the climate. What with, having to get used to the cold and all the rain. It has been hard, but now it is only a small problem for me, he says to FCK TV.

– I see the League in this way: When I came here, people told me that the Danish league was not particularly hard. But now that I have my own personal experience here, I can tell that the it is hard. The Danish league is tough. It has a good flow, all the players are potent and strong. They are fast, and there is really something that I had not expected, he says.

Additional highlights Varela, that he enjoys time in FC Copenhagen, where he is particularly pleased to have scored a Spanish-speaking teammate in the form of Michael Santos, who arrived in the summer transfervindue.

Guillermo Varela is listed for the 13 League matches this season.
