Couple get married in the 10,000 meters

A woman from New Zealand and a man from Australia have taken their love of aviation (and each other) to new heights, when they were married in the 10,000 meters.

David and Cathy Valliant said yes to each other on one of the Jetstars flights between Sydney and Auckland.

When the plane was exactly halfway between the two countries, promised the couple to each other eternal fidelity in front of the flight attendants and the rest of the aircraft passengers.

Cathy Valliant tells the news.com.au, that the pair found each other in 2011, because they both have a passion for aviation and played an online game called Airport City.

– It developed just away. We met first each other in 2013 in the Sydney Airport, when I took my first trip to Australia. We saw each other in the eyes, and then we were sold, ” says Cathy Valliant.

Trying to free on the fly
She tells that the pair had datet in three years, when David wanted to free her – also on a Jetstar flight between Brisbane and Melbourne – but he was too nervous to be surrounded by other passengers. Later in the evening, when they were alone, asked he for her.

Cathy Valliant said yes, and so she started to plan a wedding a little more than usual.

– I think that maybe it was a bit fresh to ask Jetstar, but then, I wrote to them on their Facebook page, without saying anything to Dave, and I was so excited when they answered, that they would see what they could do, says Cathy Valliant to the news.com.au.

Everything came to the end of the space, and the pair were married in the 10,000 meters by an employee at the Jetstar with vielsesbemyndigelse. For her it was also the first time that she had been going for a marriage ceremony in the air.

– To be a part of Cathy and David’s day and celebrate their love and passion for aviation is an unforgettable experience. The passengers were also happy to be a part of the experience. As an airline we love, that we bring people together, ” says Robyn Holt, the employee at the Jetstar who made the wedding ceremony.

the Pair were also well satisfied with the day. When they came out of the plane, they were deluged with confetti and subsequently there was a party.

– It was the most amazing experience, and it is something that we will remember for the rest of our lives, ” says Cathy Valliant.
