Boris defeated: No options in the Uk

Boris Johnson may see himself beaten, after he submitted a proposal to print the parliamentary elections in the Uk 12. december.

For the choice to be become a reality, two-thirds of the british parliament have voted for, and it is not the case.

299 voted in favour of the proposal, while 70 members voted against. If it had to be gone through, had 434 members of parliament have voted for.

All the members of the opposition Labour had been instructed to abstain in Monday’s vote.

The british government would, however, submit a new proposal on the choices being made as an amendment. This means that it can be adopted with a simple majority.

the SNP and lib dems have 54 votes combined, and together with the 287 conservative votes, there will, in principle, be enough to get printed a choice, if the amendment is adopted. But each of the parties has taken more reservations.

the liberal democratic party and the SNP have, among other things required that a brexit in the absence of agreement be ruled out completely.

the Opposition has been against the parliamentary elections in december, because the fear that it may lead to a hard brexit, where there is not going to be an agreed divorce between the EU and the british.

There has also been much controversy about whether an election should be the 9. or the 12. december. The SNP has insisted on the 9. december, because the party believes that this will lead to a dissolution of parliament so quickly, Johnson would not be able to press his brexitaftale through in haste.

Both the lib dems and the SNP want to introduce voting rights for 16-year-old, which is also characterized Monday’s debate.
