Barcelona, ??cradle of modernism and a city that inspires and drives creativity, yesterday became the platform for a fashion that drives the transformation of the sector in Catalonia, both nationally and internationally. It was the date set for its grand finalization in the impressive modernist complex of Sant Pau. After the institutional inauguration, the second edition of 080 Reborn was reinvented in terms of content and forms of expression with a contemporary dance orchestrated by the Ballet de Barcelona company. Dancers became models to present a collection based on denim, created and conceptualized by stylists Fermin
Simorra presented its Fall-Winter 2023-2024 collection, Echoes of Nature, after showing for the first time in September on the Madrid catwalk. The Barcelona firm was the only one to bet on the see now, buy now concept, a strategy that aims at immediacy and offers the customer the possibility of buying the proposals seen on the catwalk at the moment. Simorra house was inspired by the creative force of nature and its fleeting beauty, and paraded the models on a catwalk that played with the reflections of the water. The fabric was once again the starting point, as a canvas on which small works of art can be created and developed. The textures and folds of the dresses, skirts, sweaters and coats, an ode to the brand’s imperishable DNA: quality, values ??and responsibility above all.
The Artelier took over from Simorra with a genderless style statement, committed to sustainability – each print is created with Oeko-Tex certified water-based inks and all production is handcrafted in Barcelona – and with its own identity. For its part, La Noche Vuelve wants to explore the moment when the night comes to an end and the last sigh fades away. A vibrant collection with bright colors, psychedelic prints and semi-transparencies.
Escorpion, another of the publishing veterans and a reference in the knitting sector, left its mark among the attendees with the presentation of Esencia de Mujer, a contemporary and sophisticated line that had three four-legged surprise guests. For the next season, spring-summer 2024, the firm opted for a vibrant palette that evokes warm summer evenings. “We want all women to be able to feel identified, regardless of age,” they remark.
The last turn was for the firm Lola Casademunt by Maite and its new Motel Arizona collection. Route 66 was the starting point for the spring-summer 2024 season proposal. A journey that the firm undertakes from the desert with pieces that emulate the arid forms of this environment and that reaches Las Vegas, where the neons and city lights flood the collection with color and brilliance. The animal print, DNA of the brand, takes center stage in the form of snake and leopard and is combined with other elements of the brand, such as logomania and a palette of vivid colors, such as turquoise, green and fuchsia .
