After 50 years, the Beatles album Abbey Road number one again

“Abbey Road” – the last studio album from The Beatles has returned to first place on the list of most sold albums in the Uk, 50 years after the first time was at the top of the charts.

“The Fab Four” have genindtaget first place with an expanded anniversary edition of the album.

Back in 1969 had John Lennon privately announced six days before the release, that he was about to leave the band.

The last recordings for the “Abbey Road” was recorded 12 days later – the 20. august 1969.

the Album was recorded after the problematic recordings of the album “let it Be”, which was released on 8. in may, 1970.

“Abbey Road” was recorded in a much better mood.
