An Amber Alert  issued Monday morning for a Yakima infant has been canceled.

Yakima Police said 23-year-old Manuel Mendoza, the boy’s uncle, broke down the back door of the family home, pointed a gun at the 1-year-old child’s father and took the child. Police believe the man was with 24-year-old Jessica Mendoza.

They are believed to be in a silver 2000 Chevrolet Impala with black rims and no hubcaps. Police do not know the license plate, only that it was issued in Washington. They were said to be still be in the Yakima area.

Mendoza and the child were located shortly before 9 a.m. The Amber Alert was then canceled.
