A man accosted a woman as she walked to her car in the Lakeview neighborhood early Tuesday, then robbed and sexually assaulted her, according to police.
The woman, age 25, was walking to her car about midnight in the 1200 block of West Barry Avenue when the man attacked her, according to a police community alert.
The man showed a handgun and demanded the woman give him all her money, according to police. He then forced the woman into her vehicle and sexually assaulted her in the vehicle.
The man then fled on foot, according to police.
The attacker was described as a black man with a medium complexion, age 25 to 30, standing 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He had a black short hair and a short beard or stubble on his chin.
