Three tourists pose naked on the most famous dune in Namibia and become a national scandal

A national scandal has occurred this week in Namibia. The African country has witnessed an unusual event: three tourists decided to pose naked in an enclave of the country, the Big Daddy dune located in the Namib Desert.

The events have sparked quite a bit of controversy among visitors, who were left speechless by the scene, thus calling for measures against the responsible tourists.

As a spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism has pointed out to local media, foreigners could be blacklisted from entering any of Namibia’s parks.

According to the BBC, the vice-president of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Namibia, Kenneth Nependa, told the Namibian Sun that this behavior could attract tourists “who think that anything goes in Namibia.”

“It is very disgusting and really creates a bad image for Namibia,” says Nependa, making it clear that the Big Daddy dune is not only frequented by tourists, but also by families with small children.

It is unknown who took the photographs of the three male tourists, who are posing naked in the sand along with their clothes. Romeo Muyunda, spokesperson for the Ministry of the Environment, has described the scene as “extremely shocking”, emphasizing that it is an indecency punishable by law.
