The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and the Móstoles City Council have enabled a new direct link to the A-5 towards Madrid from Móstoles El Soto as an alternative access to the service road, closed since November 12 due to the appearance of an undercut.

This undermining, which occurred near the Móstoles campus of the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), forced the Ministry to cut off on November 12 the service road from the Móstoles El Soto junction and to the junction with the Bullring roundabout.

This is one of the main exit routes from the town of Móstoles, since it is used by both the El Soto neighborhood and the Western District as well as by a large part of the Móstoles Sur neighborhood, which has been asking for a connection with the R5 for years. , to avoid this exit and cross half of Móstoles.

For this reason, the Ministry and the City Council have also decided to enable another direct link to the A-5 towards Madrid as an alternative access to the service road, a “provisional” link until the completion of the works, as indicated by the Consistory through its social networks.

In addition, the two alternatives provided by the Municipal Police of Móstoles continue: one through Móstoles Tecnológico, until reaching the Glorieta of the DGT exam center: and another through Avenida Abogados de Atocha, until reaching the Glorieta de los Jazmines, the from the Bullring.

“Due to the works on the A5 service road in the Móstoles section, access from El Soto is closed indefinitely until the works are completed. It is recommended to use public transport or alternative routes,” they added from the Municipal Police through their social networks.
