Despite the difficulties in predicting what the professions of the future will be or what companies will need in a few years, the degrees try to adapt to the current demands of the labor market.

Due to its more practical aspect, Vocational Training studies are the ones that have best aligned with the requirements of companies, which encourages a greater insertion of their graduates. According to the latest data available, FP courses guarantee graduates the possibility of finding a job in the short term: in Catalonia there are 26 professional families of FP teaching, 16 of which exceed between 50% and 60% of labor insertion. This has motivated this training model to be increasingly in demand by students, who can find detailed information on the basic, intermediate and higher grade cycles offered by the public education system and by private centers at the Saló de l’Ensenyament .

As for university studies, all the Catalan universities are present at the contest and, in addition to explaining the changes that will take place for the next academic year, such as the disappearance of three-year degrees, they also publicize their training offer in degrees and double degrees.

The academic offer of the University of Barcelona for the 2023-2024 academic year is made up of 73 degrees, 16 double degrees and more than 160 university master’s degrees. The UB incorporates to this offer the new degree in Geography and Global Change, a pioneering degree in Catalonia and in the State. Structured in four courses (240 ECTS credits), it will be taught at the Faculty of Geography and History and allows two mentions to be taken: the first in land planning and management and the second in the environment.

Next year the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will renew the curricula of three degrees: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Archeology and Environmental Sciences. With this, it seeks to update its contents in line with the evolution of the professional sector, social challenges and technological advances.

The Mataró TecnoCampus plans to include two new undergraduate degrees for the 2023-2024 academic year in its academic offer. In the area of ??health, the degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics will be incorporated, with two different training itineraries so that students can specialize: clinical nutrition and sports nutrition. The second academic novelty for the next academic year, which falls within the field of tourism and business, is a double degree in Tourism and Leisure Management together with Marketing and Digital Communities. In this way, students will be able to obtain two degrees in five years and specialize in marketing, a growing sector.
