The Barcelona Archeology Museum opened its doors to nudists on Saturday with a special tour during which visitors could get rid of their clothes. The tour lasted 90 minutes and was organized in collaboration with the Catalan Naturism Club.

Visitors viewed the Riace Bronzes exhibition of photographs by Luigi Spina depicting two large Greek bronze statues of naked warriors from the 5th century BC. C. that were discovered in 1972 near Riace, Italy.

“We wanted it to be a more colorful tour and not the typical guided tour,” said guide Edgar Mestre, who also went without clothes. “We wanted people who came to see it to feel exactly the same as the play they were seeing.”

The museum’s website promised visitors the chance to “admire the works posing in the same situation as them, completely naked and surrounded by other bodies.” An initiative that has also been carried out in other museums around the world such as the Paris Art Museum.

“I feel the same intensity as observing it with clothes, but with the difference that we can understand better that nudity has always existed and bodies should not be a source of shame for anyone,” said health worker Marta, 59, who was visiting The exhibition.
