Hello good morning!
Spain is aging; Spain, like it or not, is changed by the arrival of an ‘army’ of millions of pensioners. The problem is that there is still a debate about what to do about it and with it and the years go by.
An “army” of 14 million pensioners will change Spanish society, according to estimates, in 15 years. Quite a challenge for public coffers. And quite a challenge in the face of the role that they will have in the day to day of the country.
The way of understanding old age has changed, it is insisted precisely to argue why the latter. And it is that the specialists recite: “there are no older people but older people” who are, by millions, more autonomous, less conformist, etc.
How to sustain the cost of those millions of pensioners is still being debated. And the proposed solution often calls for young immigrant laborers to support other changes. These, in Spain, begin to organize for their rights.
Work mess on the horizon. In France, the political blockade for the pension reform persists. In Italy there is perplexity when Meloni approves the labor reform by decree. In Spain, the unions threaten a strike to raise wages. Everything gets complicated.
The upcoming electoral cycle forces the parties (even those in coalition) to mark positions. Consequently, it makes it more complex to reach agreements. Today it is released that the Official Secrets law and gag will not change this legislature.
War, yes, but life goes on. Kyiv has been at war for over a year. At the front everything is dramatic. And the capital gives an example of what happens far from it: Ukraine integrates the threat into its day-to-day life (concerts, restaurants…) until it hardly flinches.
Underground treasures. Having half of Barcelona under construction also allows us to bring to light archaeological surprises that until recently were unknown. The consequence? The city is already branded as a prolific archaeological site. The same could happen in others.

The power of the dollar. The greenback remains king here and there, for almost everything and despite everything, including China, for the benefit of the US and its power. Avoiding it, however, is becoming more and more common. Problems are foreseen for the stability of the world economy.
