The Court of First Instance and Instruction number two of Santa Fe, on duty, has agreed this Wednesday to enter provisional prison, communicated and without bail of the 36-year-old man arrested for ending the life of his sister, who was pregnant eight months old, and her three-year-old son in the chalet in Las Gabias (Granada) where they lived.

The detainee is being investigated for the alleged commission of three crimes of murder, according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), specifying that the prosecutor requested the arrest of the detainee after considering the facts constituting three alleged crimes of murder, although throughout the investigation it will be determined whether this classification is maintained or modified by two crimes of murder and one crime of abortion.

The Court on duty will be inhibited in favor of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1, which is the one that was on duty on the day of the events, according to the same sources.

The lifeless bodies of the 38-year-old victim, a native of Torredelcampo (Jaén), and her son were found last Saturday in their home with signs of violence as a result of the father of the family —who was on a trip from work when the events occurred- alerted the 112 service of the Balearic Islands of an alleged robbery at the home, located on Arache street, in the Los Chopos urbanization of this Granada municipality.

The Civil Guard inspected the house this past Tuesday and made a reconstruction of the events together with the alleged murderer in order to collect the maximum amount of evidence possible in this case, which points to family disputes over an inheritance as a possible motive for the murders, according to sources close to the investigation detailed to Europa Press.

Criminalistics specialists have viewed the images from the security cameras and have also thoroughly examined the interior of the vehicle with which the detainee traveled to the house, which he accessed without having to force doors or windows, for which presumably he had keys, and to commit the crimes he used an iron bar –with special cruelty– that the investigators have in their possession.

Subsequently, he allegedly tried to burn a mattress where the bodies of the victims would be with the alleged objective of altering the crime scene, although he did not ignite it and was not successful.

The victim was a native of Torredelcampo (Jaén), whose inhabitants “still cannot believe” what happened to this neighbor, a “very good, loved and educated woman” from a “very hard-working and well-known” family in the town, where they have decreed three days of mourning.
