Orange County 911 dispatcher accused of passing forged prescription

An Orange County 911 dispatcher is suspended without pay after an arrest on charges of trafficking pills, records show.

Jojilda Disla, 36, was arrested Wednesday. She faces charges of trafficking in oxycodone and uttering a forgery.

Disla is accused of filling a Percocet prescription in 2015. But the Ocoee dentist whose name was listed as the prescribing doctor told investigators he did not write the prescription, and that he usually does not give his patients opioids, court records show.

The investigation began in 2015, when a pharmacist noticed a prescription a different woman tried to fill seemed suspicious, records show. The pharmacist called the Ocoee dentist to try to verify the prescription’s legitimacy, but the dentist told him he thought the prescription was forged.

The pharmacist called law enforcement, as the dentist suggested.

An agent with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, an Orlando-area law enforcement task force that investigates drug trafficking, among other crimes, started tracking any opioid prescriptions with the dentist’s name on them.

The agent found Disla’s name and discovered that the dentist had never written her a prescription himself, records show. The dentist said the prescription Disla filled had been forged.

Disla has been an Orange County dispatcher since 2007, said Deputy Rose Silva, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman. She is suspended without pay as the Sheriff’s Office conducts its own investigation.

She had three disciplinary complaints in her nearly 10 years at the Sheriff’s Office, records show: two for sleeping on duty, in 2008 and 2014, for which she got written reprimands; and one for mishandling a call about a possible kidnapping, for which she was suspended for 12 hours.
