Christopher Geier, 33, of Forest Avenue, was charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child regarding an incident that occurred earlier this month, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said in a press release.

The maintenance worker allegedly touched the 14-year-old boy in Mahwah on Feb. 6, Grewal said. Details of the incident were not released.

The Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Mahwah Police Department began an investigation after they received information on the incident this week.

Geier was arrested Friday after he responded to the Prosecutor’s office in Paramus for an interview with law enforcement officials. He is being held at the Bergen County Jail pending an arraignment.
