The man arrested and imprisoned this week as the alleged perpetrator of the sexual assault on an 8-year-old girl in Navarra has had to be transferred to a hospital center to be treated after suffering a beating at the hands of other inmates at the Pamplona prison .
Diario de Navarra and Diario de Noticias point this out in today’s edition, although prison sources have only confirmed to EFE that there was a “regimental incident between inmates early yesterday morning at the Pamplona prison.”
Both newspapers point out that the assaulted man is a 49-year-old man, who was admitted this Thursday to provisional prison, notified and without bail for an alleged sexual assault on a girl committed last August, although the alleged perpetrator had not been been able to locate until now due to his change of address.
The lack of family and social roots together with the seriousness of the crimes have been the causes for which the judge of Instruction number 5 of Pamplona ordered the prison.
