Artificial intelligence is already changing the world. However, all the predictions seem few when trying to calculate the potential of tools like ChatGPT, which have just landed for the general public all over the planet and open up endless possibilities for both individuals and companies.

Given the creative, synthesis and search capacity of ChatGPT and other similar ones such as Google Bard or Bing Chat, many companies are considering whether they should start investing in training so that their employees know how to work hand in hand with these tools and avoid being overwhelmed by this technological avalanche.

José Antonio Alguacil, CEO of Ilusionlabs, believes that it is necessary to change the company’s philosophy and integrate training as something essential: “If we understand training as a necessary procedure, it is normal to talk about recycling. What has not been fully understood is that for the last 10 years technology, economy, politics, society, values and technical knowledge have evolved faster than in the last 100”, he highlights.

“Training has to be understood as part of a profession and as such, it has to be understood that it is constantly evolving,” says Sheriff, who warns that “different artificial intelligences make their way in our day-to-day lives and therefore , far from understanding them, we need to master them to remain competent and competitive”.

However, for Bailiff, ChatGPT does not mean the technological apocalypse: “There are too many myths fueled by some too sensationalist news. Today ChatGPT is nothing more than very smart software that anticipates your requests in writing. It is not the end of the world, but the beginning of an essential tool that will help us to be very productive, but that today is still a baby. He makes mistakes, he invents information and ignores a multitude of contexts, ”he highlights.

In this sense, he assures that “it is not such a dazzling tool for trained professionals.” For this reason, he gives an example: “If you are not a lawyer and you ask ChatGPT to write a resource for you, it will do it and you will feel powerful because, suddenly, it seems that you have access to knowledge that you lacked. But in reality, said appeal, I am very much afraid that it will not be competent since any lawyer could write it in a more accurate way, or what is worse, appeal”, he points out.

Regarding training in AI, Alguacil assures that currently this preparation “is highly technical, aimed at engineers capable of creating or manipulating code, or directed at the use of their own intelligence”, while there is a second group with “a lot of smoke, already that these intelligences, although they have been with us for years, are beginning to be developed for public use”.

“The best training is to play with them, investigate them, push them to the limit, appreciate their abilities and shortcomings. We must bear in mind that what we have in our hands today has nothing to do with what we will manage in 3 years. For this reason, more than training, it is necessary to encourage interaction and mastery of these tools, to standardize their use”, highlights the CEO of Ilusionlabs.

Beyond technology, there are many other sectors that can take advantage of artificial intelligence, according to Sheriff: “Customer service or technical support, human resources to provide information and advice, education, the legal industry…, since they have a lot of repetition of processes”, comments the expert.

Other interested sectors could be those of “financial planning and advice, where budget planning is crucial”, although there is a very clear field where AI will be decisive: “Where I think it can have a great impact is in the health sector, in which I have proof that it helps many doctors in a personal capacity. But before the tool can be used officially, we need a lot of regulations and controls, ”he warns.

For those responsible for a company interested in starting to implement tools like ChatGPT “the first thing is standardization. When the digital revolution began to pick up speed in 2008 the buzzword was ‘either you’re online or you don’t exist’. Fear is a very unsustainable motivating factor, because it generates resistance”, explains Sheriff.

“I hear the phrase ‘AI will take your job away’ a lot when the truth is that the job will be taken away by the partner who is most proficient with these tools. Fostering conversation, forums where information and doubts can be shared, curiosity, jokes and, of course, achievements, I think they are essential milestones when it comes to normalizing these tools”, specifies the expert.

Training in AI and tools with as much potential as ChatGPT can lead a company to be much more productive and efficient, especially in the environment of the new industrial revolution that is beginning to occur. Therefore, it is very interesting to resort to courses to fully enter this new era.
