Cadena SER closes the year with 4.61 million listeners and as the network that is growing the most

The General Media Study (EGM) has once again elevated Cadena SER as the most listened to in Spain among talk radio stations. As reflected in the data revealed this Thursday, SER is the channel that is growing the most and has closed 2023 with 4.61 million listeners.

The chain, owned by Grupo Prisa, has 890,000 more than COPE, and more than 2,600,000 more than Onda CERO, third by a long distance in the ranking.

Most of the network’s programs reaffirm themselves as leaders in their segment. Hoy por Hoy is the most listened to program in the prime time slot of Spanish talk radio. With Àngels Barceló at the helm, it reaches the best figure in its entire history: 3,349,000 listeners.

The night is also of the SER. Hora 25, with Aimar Bretos, leads the news slot from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with 1,118,000 listeners, 120,000 more than COPE’s La Linterna program.

At midday, Hora 14, with Javier Casal, also stands out as a reference program from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with 597,000 daily listeners.

La Ventana, by Carles Francino, with its 30 years of stories, has 1,062,000 listeners, more than the sum of its two main competitors combined.

Weekend mornings and early mornings are also the most listened to in their respective time slots. Javier del Pino’s Let’s live it’s two days, widely leads with 1,900,000 listeners on Saturdays, and on Sundays with 2,004,000. For its part, El Faro, by Mara Torres, is growing and leads its time slot with 213,000 listeners.

In sports, El Larguero, directed every night by Manu Carreño, registers 792,000 listeners, while on weekends, Carrusel Deportivo, with Dani Garrido, is the leader on Saturdays with 1,708,000 listeners.

The EGM confirms the strength of talk radio in Spain: 2023 closes with more than 13 million listeners, its best figure in 27 years
