The Civil Guard has arrested in Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville) the drug trafficker who allegedly shot a civil guard last Friday during an anti-drug operation in Trebujena (Cádiz) in which the agents aborted the transfer of a cache of hashish that was intended to be introduced by the Guadalquivir river.

During the police operation, the civil guards were shot with a firearm, one of which hit the hand of one of the agents, and the same night that the events occurred, one of the members of the criminal organization was arrested. as reported by the Civil Guard.

The agents have intervened two vans loaded with 90 bales of hashish that yield a total weight of 3,372 kilos -both previously stolen-, 3,200 liters of fuel to supply the boats and the shotgun used -also stolen-, together with the ammunition, to shoot to the agents.

The operation took place on the night of August 25 and agents from the Judicial Police Organic Unit, the Rapid Action Group (GAR), a helicopter from the Corps, territorial Citizen Security patrols, the PEGASO team and the Provincial Maritime Service intervened.

The civil guards surrounded the area of ??the river that bathes Trebujena when they observed the boat used to load the drugs, two vans that were being loaded and numerous people who, when they were discovered, fled.

During the operation, one of the drug traffickers used a shotgun to avoid the action of the agents, shooting at point-blank range against the official vehicle they were driving.

The operation ended with the arrest of a 28-year-old man from the Seville town of El Cuervo for the crimes of drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organization.

As a continuation of the investigations carried out, a 41-year-old man has been arrested in Alcalá de Guadaíra as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of attempted homicide, belonging to a criminal organization, drug trafficking and damage to an official vehicle.
