The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested in Barcelona, ??as confirmed by La Vanguardia, the ex-partner of Josep Maria Mainat, Angela Dobrowolski, as the alleged responsible for the explosion inside a common area of ??the landing of a building in the La Font neighborhood de la Guatlla, in the district of Sants-Montjuïc, last Wednesday.
Dobrowolski was arrested last Wednesday afternoon accused of the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking and deposit of weapons and explosives, harassment, threats and damage.
The person who called the 112 emergency phone reported that he had just heard a loud explosion, that there was gas on the fifth floor landing and that it was a home-made device.
Several patrols from the Mossos and the Urban Guard went to the scene of the events and located a five-liter jug ??of water that was partially destroyed by the explosion and verified how the entire landing was filled with a transparent liquid. There were also several small objects, possibly aluminum foil, that were burned and scattered all over the landing. The agents found that the entire space smelled intensely of some chemical product.
Agents of the Scientific Police and the Tedax went to the place to collect samples and remains that had been scattered on the ground, as well as the main evidence to analyze the scene of the events.
The Mossos investigation focused on a person who was dressed in blue overalls, with a white helmet with two lines of transverse black polygonal shapes and was covered with a scarf that covered part of his face. He was wearing a black backpack with a gray oval back pocket.
The agents also discovered that the person investigated had intimidated on other occasions one of the neighbors who lived on one of the floors on the landing and whom the investigated person knew. On one occasion, she would have shot with a BB gun at the window of these people, would have participated in the launch of a toxic and irritating liquid under the door of the victims’ neighbors (in this case she had not acted directly and the author got the door wrong) and would have broken the windows of the door of the blog entry.
Since his arrest for the alleged attempted murder of Mainat, injecting him with insulin while he was sleeping last June, Dobrowolski has accumulated three other arrests: for trying to forge checks in the name of his ex, for trying to break into his house in Canet de Mar and the today, for trying to gain access to his flat in Barcelona.
The judge investigating the alleged murder of Mainat agreed on October 25 to impose a one-kilometer restraining order on Dobrowolski from his ex-partner and the two children they have in common.
