A projectile from the Civil War found in a house in the old town of Burgos

Members of the Explosives Deactivation Team (TEDAX) of the National Police have taken charge of the destruction of a projectile from the time of the Civil War found, by chance, in a house in the old town of Burgos, as reported to Europa Press police sources.

The 091 Room received a call a few days ago from a neighbor reporting the discovery in an apartment located on an emblematic street in the historic center.

A team from the National Police went there to meet with the applicant for the service and carry out the appropriate checks. The man explained that the house was owned by a friend living in another city, whose intention was to put it up for sale. While cleaning work was being carried out, the projectile had been found inside a drawer in one of the rooms of the apartment.

Apparently, the property had been unoccupied for many years and the person who had previously resided may have been aware of the fact, but he was a deceased brother of the current owner.

This circumstance was brought to the attention of the Explosives Deactivation Team of the National Police (TEDAX), who traveled to Burgos from the Castilla y León Superior Headquarters and who, with due security guarantees, proceeded to withdraw to its study and subsequent neutralization and destruction.
