A man and a pregnant woman were stabbed this Thursday inside their home in Sant Adrià de Besós. The 33-year-old man died as a result of the severity of his injuries, while the woman was injured in the leg without fear for her life. The two were a romantic couple and were expecting a child.
It was the woman herself who called the emergency services around 2 p.m. to report that her husband had been stabbed and that she was injured. The events occurred in a mezzanine at number 58 Bogatell Street, very close to the center of the municipality.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to clarify what happened. Apparently, the attack was committed by two individuals who broke into the house and first stabbed the woman in the leg and then stabbed her partner in the neck, causing her death. That was what the woman told the Mossos when they went to the scene.
The first hypotheses suggest that it could be a settling of scores for some reason that the Mossos have not yet clarified. They suspect that the individuals were known to the victims and search their past in case they could have an enemy who wanted to harm them.
Agents from the Sant Adrià de Besòs Local Police went to the home to cordon off the area and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) was also activated, which took the injured woman to a hospital.
In a message on the social network “Our most sincere condolences go out to the victim’s family and wish the injured person a speedy recovery,” she added.
