This week TikTok has witnessed a most curious breed of dog: several dogs have appeared with a fur of an intense bright blue color. Aliens? Stitch’s cousins? or a genetic mutation? None of the above. The content creator @oripaezz has been in charge of sharing the unexpected look of her pets on networks, confirming that it is a canine prank.
After finding them covered in blue, he decided to give them several baths to remove their bright hue, something he has unfortunately not been able to do. In order to shed light on what happened, the user points out that it all took place when her little ones decided to play with a paint can.
“Basically what happened is that they ate a tube of my dad’s paint and well… they filled the whole house with blue and they were filled with blue,” says Ori. “We wash them twice but they don’t come off, you have to keep washing them but it’s not good to wash them so often ‘so’…they’ll stay smurfs forever” says their owner before giving them a hug and emphasizing how beautiful they are : “They’re very beautiful”.
Their three dogs have not suffered any damage, since the family called the vet to make sure it was not toxic: “As long as we see them well (…) we don’t have to worry”, so they have chosen to hydrate and observe them daily.
In a matter of days, the video has gone viral, accumulating almost 8 million views and all kinds of reactions from users who have had fun watching the scene: “I knew that he had gotten into trouble because of the way he was hiding behind the basket” or “They look like stuffed animals” have been some of the most popular comments.
