This is the menu of Martín Berasategui for the tourist class of Air Europa

Haute cuisine is conquering all terrains and, if a few days ago the new menu of French food that will be served in the stratosphere was known, now it will also be possible to enjoy good food in the heights, although a few meters below. The airline Air Europa has wanted to make the proposal of the Spanish chef Martín Berasategui available to all its passengers on board its planes.

Until now, the creations of the renowned Basque chef were only available on the company’s Business Class menus. But, now, all tourist class travelers on intercontinental flights departing from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport will have access to the dishes of the 12-Michelin-starred chef in his restaurants.

The menu, nicknamed “De Martín”, is part of Air Europa’s new off-menu offer. It includes a hot pumpkin or asparagus cream, a chicken supreme with strut pasta and, to top it all off, a mango cake. All this will offer diners a different culinary experience during their trip.

The commitment to gastronomy has been clear on the company’s flights, which, in addition to the Berasategui menu, will offer others on transoceanic flights to the Spanish capital. The proposals cover different styles to adapt to the tastes of all passengers.

The news has surprised, precisely because the food on the planes of some airlines is not usually much. In fact, on several occasions, there has been the odd incident between passengers. However, it seems that now it will be possible to enjoy appetizing dishes in the heights.

One of the demands that airline users insist on is the offer of menus suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Several people have complained in networks that in other companies, when ordering specialized food, they have found a menu based on fruit or even only water.
