An olive oil specially designed to be mixed “with any type of milk.” That is the innovative proposal that has won first place in the 12th edition of the Salón Gourmets Awards, aimed at choosing the best products present in the 37th edition of Salón Gourmets.

According to the organization, it is an EVOO (extra virgin) oil specially designed to emulsify and be able to mix it with “any type of milk.” Perfect for lovers of this particular practice.

In the opinion of the jury, the Oleo Latte from Almazaras de la Subbética has been the most innovative product of this edition, although its flavor or composition is not evaluated.

The second prize in this category went to a Gorgonzola cheese cream from the Sevillian company Demetra and the third went to a broccoli drink from the Mr. Broko company.

For its part, in the presentation category, the winner was the extra virgin olive oil from Almazara de Antequera called ‘El boyfriend del mollete’, from the company Aceites Rafael Salgado. The second winner was the product called ‘Roca de queimada’ from the Galician company Migaya, which is a chocolate with a mixture of chocolate and nuts coated with coffee, pomace and chocolate. The third went to the Italian company Adelia di Fant, due to the image of its chocolate mixed with flowers.

These awards have also recognized, in the versatility category, a dressing based on vegetable oil emulsified with tomato or almond from the Caviaroli company and a vermouth jam from the Malaga company from the Ronda mountain range La Molienda Verde/Eco Molienda.

As for the awards for the best organic product, the winner was a gin made with cactus from Bernardo’s Mermeladas; the second a melva canutera in organic extra virgin olive oil from Cambados preserves; and the third an organic bitter from the Sidra Somarroza brand.
