Mistakes take their toll, although there are no major problems to be regretted. That’s what happened to a couple who were renovating their house and left the window open all night. The next day, they found a sloth hanging from the rafters of the living room ceiling. And from there there was no one to take him down.
The animal did not flinch when it saw them. In fact, he continued perched on the ceiling beams. He didn’t want anyone to bother him, because he seemed comfortable.
This couple tried to get him to move in every way possible. They tried everything they had at their disposal: tools, paint roller sticks and various objects. But nothing. The sloth, living up to his name, was still there.
“We couldn’t go up there to take him down, but we did try to lift objects within his reach so that he could hold on and be safe,” they say in a video published on TikTok.
The only way they found to get it down was to put up a ladder and use a blanket, to safeguard the sloth’s integrity. Despite their resistance, they succeeded. They removed the tape that had stuck to it and returned it to the forest right next door.
“Should we hire him to paint the ceiling?” jokes the user who posted the video. And others understand the animal’s determination: “I am very comfortable here,” they think they will think.
