Friendship with our pets can reach levels that we would never imagine before. When that unique bond is created, we always think of a dog or a cat that accompanies us in every corner of the house for a good part of our lives. On another level, horses, ponies or rabbits could appear.

However, it is less common to maintain a friendship with a crow, but it is just as special. That is the case of Otto and Russell, a boy who does not separate himself from the bird, who has ended up being “one more of the family,” as his mother explains in a video published by The Dodo portal.

The crow came home by chance. The little boy’s father was working in the field and the animal approached him. They saw that he was not leaving, because he had a wound. Given the impossibility of contacting any organization to care for him, they decided to take him in and care for him themselves.

From there, a bond was created that has not been broken to this day. Otto waits patiently for Russell every day in front of the house’s windows. When the little one decides to go out to play, he accompanies him on all his adventures.

From time to time, he also spends time inside the home. “Otto and Russell spend time together watching television,” her mother explains. In addition, the bird takes advantage of his stay to play with the family cat and dog, with whom he has a “fantastic relationship.”

The animal has not only become his adventure companion, but his company is an opportunity for the little one to be in contact with nature, “as few can do.”
